Children

Nursery/Childcare

While we welcome children at all of our worship services, there are age-appropriate opportunities available for all children.

The Nursery/Childcare is provided for children ages 4 and younger during all services and many special events held at the church. In our nursery, you will find a quality, Christian, loving and safe environment as our number one priority.

All childcare providers are screened to work with children. We always have at least two adults in the room with our young people. We require all children to be signed in and signed out of child care. Children will not be released to an unauthorized person.

We will make every attempt to keep your child comfortable and happy, but we will come and get you should your child be unhappy for about 10 minutes.

For more information about our nursery, please contact our Nursery Care Coordinator, Jenny White at 812-604-3649.

Sunday school

We want all of our children to experience the love of Jesus and learn about our faith. We have exciting, engaging Sunday School classes for children of all ages and stages. Our purpose is to love and nurture them as they grow in their faith. We provide a fun learning environment that will help them remember their Sunday School days.

For more information, please contact Amanda Miskell at 812-550-2790.

Children's Church

During our Sunday morning worship services, we invite all of the children forward for a children's moment. Following this moment, children from four years old to 3rd grade are invited to Children's Church, which happens in the Sunday School classrooms. We have at least two adults on hand to guide them through a fun, engaging, age-appropriate lesson about our faith. Children will return before the end of worship service. On the second Sunday of the month, they will return in time to share in communion.

Wednesday Night Friends Club

During the school year, join us on Wednesday nights for an awesome, energetic evening of learning about God. Children from kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to be part of the fun. Dinner is served for families at 5 p.m. Friends Club meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Please remember to sign your children in and out. Questions? Contact Amanda Miskell at 812-550-2790.

Safe Sanctuaries Child Protection Policy

Our number one priority is the safety of our children and the adults who work with them. We have adopted a Safe Sanctuaries policy that outlines our procedures for screening volunteers and workers, setting standards, providing training, assuring compliance, and responding to emergencies. This policy includes:

  • Requiring at least two adults in any room where children are present.
  • Mandating a national background screening for all adult volunteers.
  • Assuring that all parents of children 5th grade and under sign their children in and out of activities.

Thanks for your help in protecting our children and adults.
