Preschool/Pre-K Teacher’s Aide

Hours: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. M-Th (20-30 hours) with occasional Friday hours for classroom planning and prep as well as evening hours with preschool activities

Summary

The Pre-school/Pre-K Teacher’s Aide shall work with the Pre-school/Pre-K Lead Teacher, Hillside Preschool Director and/or HUMC Lead Pastor in the implementation of the mission of the HUMC Preschool.  He/she will work directly with the teaching of children to ensure a Christian environment that encourages age-appropriate development and safety.  He/she will also foster positive relationships with the students and their parents.

The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma, as well as current CPR and First Aid certification (CPR/FA training provided).  Prior professional work experience in an elementary or early childhood age classroom and college credits in early childhood development or education are preferred.  He/she will relate to and communicate with children and their parents in an appropriate manner.  Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
